Welcoming a Nu little sister

Kelsey's little girl was born in June and on the first Nu meeting of the 2013-2014 school year, the Nu chapter showered her with attention, sweet gifts and love. Welcome Kate Lynn!

Happy Retirement Cynthia!

The Nu sisters gathered to celebrate a new chapter in Cynthia's life- she retired in May after 34 years as an incredible educator. Barb gave a heart-felt tribute and presented her with roses and a special gift. We wish you well, Cynthia!

"After" - Julie "felted" a flower on her purple mittens.

Our chapter met on a cold January night to enjoy a potluck together and learn how to make mittens from old wool sweaters.  Vicky shared her patterns and her collection of well worn and well loved sweaters and she and Kathy helped all of us put colors and  patterns together to sew unique creations - mittens with a past.  A great recycling project!

Annual Book Bag Project with Kappa

It was a glorious but nippy October Saturday when the Nu sisters from Eagle River joined their Kappa friends from the Valley at the Palmer Job Corps Center.  They placed stickers, labeled pamphlets and sorted boxes of books to be donated to local charitable organizations - The Pregnancy Crisis Center, Child In Transition and JBEaR Hospital.  Before parting ways, the two DKG chapters enjoyed fellowship and a delicious meal prepared by the culinary students at the center.
